Spatial computing can revolutionize quotidian information tasks by harnessing more of our unconscious abilities to live in reality. Apple Vision Pro has so many substrate technologies that it can render content that feels as real as the desk in front of me.
Spatial Gas Tank is an app I’ve written to explore physicality in UX. It simulates an ideal gas in a 3D tank. It’s free, and unsupported. It collects no data, apart from whatever Apple builds-in to every app. It runs in a window in the normal shared space, or can be moved into an immersive space. Once there you can free the atoms from the tank to roam about your room. If your aim is good, you can swat an atom with your hand.
